ZZZ Signal Search & pity explained

Everything Proxies Google as “ZZZ pity,” “Signal Search rates,” or “how many Polychrome for S-Rank” — channel rules, costs, and how to read History. Soft-pity curves are community estimates; hard pity floors and 50/50 / 75/25 rules match published Exclusive / W-Engine systems.
Short answer
Exclusive Agents: hard pity 90, soft ~75, 50/50 then guarantee. W-Engines: hard 80, ~75/25 featured. 160 Polychrome = 1 Encrypted tape. Channels do not share pity. Count from History, then plug numbers into the calculators.

Beginner Stable discounts (when offered on new accounts) use their own shorter counter — read the banner card; do not assume 90.
Exclusive Channel deep dive
Exclusive Channel is where limited S-Rank Agents like Remielle or Sigrid appear. Every Encrypted signal has a low base S-Rank rate (about 0.6% before soft pity). Soft pity increases the rate in the late 70s; hard pity forces an S-Rank at 90.
- Pity carry-over: If you stop at 60 on one Exclusive banner, the next Exclusive Agent banner still starts at 60.
- Guarantee carry-over: Lose 50/50 → next Exclusive S-Rank is featured, even across versions.
- A-Ranks: Have their own softer floors; this guide focuses on S-Rank planning because that is where budgets blow up.
Average featured cost is often cited around the mid-70s Encrypted signals when soft pity is included — still budget the floor if you hate gambling.

How to read Signal Search History
- Open Signal Search and pick Exclusive, W-Engine, Stable, or Bangboo.
- Open History for that board only.
- Scroll newest → oldest until you hit the last S-Rank of that channel.
- Count signals between that S-Rank and now — that is current pity.
- If the last Exclusive S-Rank was not the featured Agent, you are on guarantee.

Common mistakes
- Spending Encrypted tapes on Stable because the UI looks similar.
- Assuming W-Engine pulls “help” Agent pity.
- Ignoring guarantee status after a standard S-Rank.
- Forcing signature W-Engine before the Agent is even owned.
- Skipping free anniversary selectors (e.g. Marcel in 3.1) while saving for a new banner.
