Every wish type tracks its own pity counter. Four-star pity is separate: you are guaranteed at least one 4★ or higher every 10 wishes. Five-star pity resets when you pull any 5★, but your 50/50 guarantee status only changes when that 5★ was (or was not) the featured item.
