Genshin Impact 7.1: release date, Phase 1 banners, and what to do
Practical Version 7.1 overview for players finishing Snezhnaya 7.0 and planning wishes. Confirmed Wish names and schedule math first — Special Program Phase 2 claims labeled as such. Not a kit tier list.
Last reviewed September 22, 2026. Cross-check the in-game Wish screen and Maintenance Preview when they post; third-party countdowns lose if they disagree with the client.
Right now (Sept 22, 2026)
- Version 7.0 Phase 2 wishes (Flins / Ineffa) end 2026/09/22 14:59 server time — about a day before the 7.1 update stamp. Do not wait until “update morning” if you still need a Phase 2 pull.
- Finish the 7.0 wrap checklist (Events, resin 200 cap, Theater / Abyss leftovers).
- Redeem active codes before Special Program leftovers expire, then watch for 7.1 livestream / maintenance codes.

Phase 1 banners (after the update)
Two debut Character Event Wishes run in parallel. Official showcase language: Vesna leads When Warm Winds Cavort (Anemo); Vodyanitsa leads Surging Ballad (Hydro). Kits lean into Snezhnaya Stellar-Swirl / Vortex synergy — treat talent numbers as unconfirmed until the live character screen ships.
- Shared guarantee. Progress on Character Event Wish and Wish-2 is one counter. A 50/50 loss on Vesna still advances you toward Vodyanitsa (and the reverse).
- Weapon banner. Event-exclusive 5★: Beyond the Chrysalis (Sword — CRIT DMG / Stellar Swirl-leaning passive) and Hymn of the Maelstrom (Catalyst — Max HP / healing lean). Signature pairing is a strong read, not a printed “signature of X” line in every language.
- Silver Light (4★ sword) is an event reward from Silverwing in Pursuit of the Moon — not a wish budget item.

Anniversary / Benefits Overview (inside 7.1)
The in-game Version 7.1 Benefits Overview is the checklist that matters more than banner hype for F2P stash math. Expect mail Primogems, limited check-in Intertwined Fate, and free 5★ invitation / selector events tied to Archon Quest progress — exact pools and claim buttons live in Events. Do not invent selector lists from memory; open the card when 7.1 is live.
- Claim mail compensation after maintenance before it scrolls off.
- Start timed check-ins on day one — tape / Fate logins do not catch up forever.
- Bank exploration Primogems with the interactive map if you still have Snezhnaya leftovers from 7.0.
Pull framework (not a tier list)
- Finish 7.0 timers first if anything still pays Primogems or free materials today.
- Decide Phase 1 intent. Want both debuts → shared pity helps. Want exactly one → be ready to stop after a win and ignore the sibling banner.
- Treat Phase 2 as soft until the Wish notice posts. Reruns return; debuts do not for a long time.
- Budget honestly with Primogems per patch ranges (~9k–13k active F2P per long version) plus anniversary gifts — not a fake “guaranteed both E0S1” spreadsheet.
