Wuthering Waves teams are not “three independent DPS characters.” When you switch Resonators, the leaving character’s Outro and the entering character’s Intro create buff windows, damage instances, and setup. Good rotations stack those windows with Resonance Liberation and Echo skills.
Build a rotation skeleton
- Support / enabler setup (Skill, Liberation if needed)
- Outro into Main DPS during their damage window
- Main DPS Intro → combo → Liberation / Echo skill
- Outro back to partner before buffs expire
Synergy checks
- Matching Attribute buffs to the Main DPS type
- ER so Liberations return when the window opens
- Sustain that does not steal the entire field forever
- Partners you own and have leveled — not screenshot teams
Prototype lineups in the Team Builder, then validate in a real fight. If Liberations are never ready when Intro buffs land, fix ER or swap order before blaming Echo substats.
Combat fundamentals (dodge counters, Vibration Strength break windows) multiply every team — see the Combat guide and Glossary.
