Genshin Impact Version 5.7 retrospect: Skirk, Dahlia, and what shipped
Correction: An earlier draft of this page mixed pre-release rumors with fabricated quality-of-life claims (including a nonexistent “AI-Powered Artifact Optimization” feature and the unverified “Mara Javari” area). This rewrite sticks to what HoYoverse confirmed for Version 5.7, A Space and Time for You (released June 18, 2025).
Version 5.7 centered on story progress with the Traveler twins / Abyss plot line, two new playable characters, banner reruns, and time-limited events. It did not add a permanent Mara Javari region or any AI artifact optimizer.
New characters
Skirk (5★ Cryo Sword)
Skirk is an on-field / flexible Cryo DPS who does not rely on normal Elemental Energy the same way most characters do. Her kit uses a special resource tied to Serpent’s Subtlety / Seven-Phase Flash style play, Void Rift absorption for damage amplification, and strong synergy with Hydro and Cryo teammates. Confirm multipliers and rotations in-game or on a verified wiki for your current patch.
Dahlia (4★ Hydro Sword)
Dahlia is a Mondstadt Hydro support (Church of Favonius deacon). His kit focuses on a renewable shield from his Elemental Burst, ATK SPD support, and an Elemental Skill “Sacramental Shower” that can launch allies or deal Hydro damage to enemies. He is a support / utility unit, not a main DPS.
Event Wish phases (5.7)
- Phase 1: Skirk debut, Shenhe rerun, with Dahlia featured among 4★ ups.
- Phase 2: Mavuika and Emilie reruns.
Exact 4★ lineups and weapon banners should be checked against the in-game Wish UI for historical accounts; don’t rely on third-party “leak” tables.
Modes and events (high level)
5.7 included limited events and combat modes announced in the official Special Program / update notes (for example boss-focused challenge content such as Stygian Onslaught-style modes and card / event additions). Use HoYoLAB update notes as the source of truth for reward calendars — event names and schedules change and should not be reconstructed from memory here.
Quality-of-life — what we will not claim
We are not listing unverified QoL rumors. In particular:
- There was no “AI-Powered Artifact Optimization” system in 5.7.
- Do not treat artifact preset rumors as confirmed unless they appear in official patch notes for that version.
Not in 5.7
- Mara Javari as a permanent map expansion — not a confirmed 5.7 ship.
- Any fabricated kit numbers that previously appeared on this page.
